Forget about LegalZoom when Incorporating your Business

Incorporating your business idea is simple - why pay hundreds of dollars to have a niche company file on your behalf when you could get it done in the same amount of time.

Go to your State's department of State site and they should have an online filing system. Fill out the form with your specific company information and pay the small fee (Usually $200).

Need a Tax Id?
Go to www.irs.gov and order one after your company is incorporated for $25.

The legal sites want to charge you $100 + fee to file on your behalf and $50 to order your tax ID. What a waste of money!

Quick tip: Unless you are well established and require a C-corporation status -
I recommend Incorporating with an LLC because it is more flexible come tax time.
